Considering the necessity of improving data management and moving toward a data-oriented organization, data base and storage unit of Tamin Company began to act since 2021 as an independent entity. In line with providing specialty services and making maximum value, the duties of this unit, are carried out by specialty units of relational and non-relational data, data storage and business intelligence.
Database administration group (DBA), in line with changing software platform and databases of SSO from FoxPro to Oracle, was established in year 2006 and now it is deemed as a pillar of the company by taking advantage of experience and specialty of some experienced experts and consultants.
Some of activities in the database area are as follows:
- Designing, mounting and operating Oracle database and infrastructure in over one thousand units of SSO
- Designing, mounting and operating MSSQL database and infrastructure in over 400 treatment centers of SSO
- Designing, mounting and operating over 50 databases for centered and integrated services in databases of company and SSO
- Using and implementing monitoring centered instruments including Oraacle Enterprise Manager (OEM), IPM & PRTG
- Designing and implementing high availability mechanisms including Data Guard, Real Application Cluster, WSFC & Always On
- Designing, operating and implementing different types of replication mechanisms including Advanced Replication, Stream Replication & Transactional Replication
- Carrying out maintenance, development, backing up and upgrading operations for different types of databases
- Carrying out constant operations of troubleshooting, performance tuning, SQL tuning, patching and other items related to databases management
- Designing, mounting and operating different types of access control mechanisms, database security as well as implementing auditing mechanisms
- Providing solutions in database design area to design and software development teams
Business intelligence group of Tamin Company was established in 2013 and while taking advantage of experience and specialty of well experienced experts and consultants, it became a pioneer in designing and making data storage and implementing mechanisms required for paving the way for data analysis and making reports and management dashboards.
The main duties and activities of data storage and business intelligence are as follows:
- Designing, mounting and implementing bases required for data storage based on Olap well known methodologies and technologies in Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Designing, mounting and implementing ETL, E-LT software such as ODI and OGG ad implementing Staging Area cyberspace
- Designing and implementing data models and datamarts in various business areas
- Providing required infrastructure for rendering different types of required reports from Ad-Hoc Query
- Designing, implementing and managing instruments and analytical solutions of business intelligence (OBIEF)
- Designing, implementing and developing analytical reports and dashboards in various areas
- Implementing indexes, requirements and reports required in insurance, treatment and headquarter areas in strategic levels (organization senior managers), tactic level (middle managers) and operations (experts)
- Management of account of users and access permits including different types of Role, Application Role and implementing RLS (Row Level Security) mechanisms
